Welcome to GolfWizard ("GolfWizard," "we," "our," or "us").
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GolfWizard website, applications, software, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, accessing the Service, or using GolfWizard in any way, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use GolfWizard.
1. Acceptance of Terms
GolfWizard provides software designed to help golf organizers manage golf groups, leagues, tournaments, golf trips, scoring, handicaps, leaderboards, and related activities.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and GolfWizard regarding your use of the Service.
Your continued use of GolfWizard confirms your acceptance of these Terms, including any future modifications that may be posted on this page.
If you are using GolfWizard on behalf of an organization, club, business, or golf association, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create a GolfWizard account.
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- You are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement.
- The information you provide is accurate and complete.
- You will maintain accurate account information.
- Your use of GolfWizard complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
GolfWizard reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that do not satisfy these eligibility requirements.
3. Your GolfWizard Account
Creating an account allows you to organize golf groups, participate in competitions, and access GolfWizard features appropriate to your subscription level.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity occurring under your account.
You agree to:
- Keep your password secure.
- Notify GolfWizard immediately of any unauthorized account access.
- Provide accurate registration information.
- Update your information when it changes.
- Use only one account unless expressly authorized otherwise.
GolfWizard is not responsible for losses resulting from unauthorized use of your account caused by your failure to protect your login credentials.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or threaten the security or integrity of the Service.
4. Subscription Plans
GolfWizard offers multiple subscription plans designed for different types of golf organizers.
Features available to you depend on the subscription level associated with your account.
Subscription details, pricing, and available features are published on our Pricing page and may change from time to time.
Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled before the renewal date.
You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
Changes to subscription plans generally become effective at the beginning of the next billing period unless otherwise stated.
GolfWizard reserves the right to modify subscription offerings, pricing, or included features with reasonable notice.
5. Payments and Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed using the payment method you provide during registration.
By purchasing a subscription, you authorize GolfWizard and its payment processor to charge all applicable fees, taxes, and recurring subscription charges associated with your selected plan.
Payments are processed by trusted third-party payment providers.
GolfWizard does not store complete payment card information.
You are responsible for ensuring that your payment information remains current.
If payment cannot be processed, GolfWizard may:
- Retry the transaction,
- Suspend premium features,
- Downgrade your account,
- or terminate your subscription after reasonable notice.
Unless otherwise required by law, subscription fees are non-refundable.
6. Free Trials
GolfWizard may offer free trial periods for certain subscription plans.
The duration and availability of free trials may vary.
Unless canceled before the trial expires, your subscription may automatically convert to a paid plan using the payment method associated with your account.
You may cancel your trial at any time before the renewal date without being charged.
GolfWizard reserves the right to modify, limit, or discontinue free trial offers at any time.
We may also limit eligibility for free trials to prevent abuse.
7. Organizer Responsibilities
GolfWizard provides software tools that simplify the administration of golf games.
However, GolfWizard does not operate or supervise golf competitions.
The organizer remains solely responsible for administering each golf group and competition.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Tournament rules
- Competition formats
- Player eligibility
- Handicap policies
- Tee assignments
- Pairings
- Local rules
- Prize payouts
- Tie-breaking procedures
- Weather-related decisions
- Player conduct
- Final scoring decisions
GolfWizard assists with tournament administration but does not act as a referee, tournament committee, rules official, or governing authority.
If disputes arise between players or organizers, those disputes remain the responsibility of the organizer and the participants involved.
GolfWizard is not responsible for resolving disagreements regarding scores, handicaps, payouts, player eligibility, or tournament rules.
Organizer Communications
GolfWizard may provide organizers with tools for sending invitations, reminders, score updates, announcements, or other communications to participants.
Organizers are solely responsible for:
- Maintaining accurate player contact information.
- Obtaining any required permissions to contact players.
- Ensuring communications comply with applicable laws.
- The content of messages sent through GolfWizard.
GolfWizard is not responsible for communications initiated by organizers.
8. GHIN® Integration
GolfWizard integrates with GHIN to simplify handicap management for golf organizers.
When authorized by the user, GolfWizard may retrieve handicap information from GHIN or other approved handicap providers to support tournament administration and scoring.
When authorized by the player, GolfWizard may also help submit eligible scores to GHIN or other approved handicap providers. Players remain responsible for ensuring that any score submitted for handicap purposes is accurate, complete, and eligible under applicable USGA®, World Handicap System™, club, or Allied Golf Association rules.
Official Handicap Index® records are maintained by GHIN and the player's authorized golf club or Allied Golf Association (AGA).
GolfWizard does not maintain official handicap records.
GolfWizard does not guarantee:
- continuous availability of GHIN services,
- uninterrupted synchronization,
- immediate handicap updates,
- or the accuracy of third-party handicap information.
If GHIN or another third-party handicap provider experiences outages, maintenance, or service interruptions, certain GolfWizard features may be temporarily unavailable.
GolfWizard is not responsible for inaccuracies originating from third-party handicap systems.
Organizers remain responsible for determining:
- which handicap source will be used,
- when handicaps are locked,
- eligibility requirements,
- and any local handicap adjustments adopted by their golf group.
GHIN Trademark Notice
GHIN, Handicap Index, USGA, and World Handicap System™ are trademarks of the United States Golf Association.
GolfWizard integrates with GHIN through authorized services where applicable.
Nothing in GolfWizard or these Terms should be interpreted as implying sponsorship, endorsement, certification, or approval by the United States Golf Association unless expressly stated in writing.
Official Handicap Index records and World Handicap System™ rules are maintained by the United States Golf Association and its authorized Allied Golf Associations.
9. Tournament Results
GolfWizard provides software that assists organizers in recording scores, calculating results, generating leaderboards, and determining payouts based on the competition settings selected by the organizer.
Tournament results generated by GolfWizard are dependent upon the information entered by organizers and participants.
Users are responsible for verifying the accuracy of:
- Player information
- Scores
- Handicap selections
- Pairings
- Competition settings
- Payout structures
- Final results
GolfWizard performs calculations based on the rules and settings selected for each event but does not independently verify the accuracy of information entered by users.
The organizer is solely responsible for reviewing and approving final tournament results before prizes or payouts are distributed.
GolfWizard is not responsible for disputes arising from:
- Incorrect score entry
- Incorrect handicap selection
- Local rule interpretations
- Player eligibility
- Tournament format configuration
- Prize distribution
- Human error
If a dispute occurs, the organizer's decision shall govern the competition.
10. User Content
GolfWizard allows users to create, upload, store, and share content while using the Service.
User Content may include:
- Player names
- Golf group information
- Tournament details
- Scores
- Photos
- Logos
- Comments
- Notes
- Messages
- Custom competition settings
- Event branding
You retain ownership of the content you submit to GolfWizard.
However, by submitting User Content, you grant GolfWizard a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, display, and transmit that content solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and supporting the Service.
You represent and warrant that:
- You own the content you upload, or
- You have permission to upload and use that content.
You may not upload content that:
- Violates applicable law
- Infringes intellectual property rights
- Contains malicious software
- Is defamatory, fraudulent, or misleading
- Promotes unlawful activity
- Violates another person's privacy rights
GolfWizard reserves the right to remove User Content that violates these Terms.
11. Intellectual Property
GolfWizard, including all software, source code, graphics, logos, designs, user interfaces, trademarks, databases, documentation, written content, and related materials, is owned by GolfWizard or its licensors and is protected by United States and international intellectual property laws.
Except as expressly permitted in these Terms, you may not:
- Copy
- Modify
- Reverse engineer
- Redistribute
- Sell
- Lease
- License
- Translate
- Decompile
- Create derivative works
from any portion of the Service.
Nothing contained within GolfWizard transfers ownership of any intellectual property to users.
All rights not expressly granted remain reserved by GolfWizard.
12. The Golf Organizer's Playbook
The Golf Organizer's Playbook is an educational resource created and maintained by GolfWizard.
Unless otherwise noted, all articles, guides, graphics, checklists, illustrations, downloads, and educational materials published as part of The Golf Organizer's Playbook are copyrighted works owned exclusively by GolfWizard.
These materials are provided for personal, informational, and non-commercial use.
Without prior written permission, users may not:
- Republish articles
- Copy substantial portions of content
- Redistribute Playbook materials
- Sell or license Playbook content
- Create derivative educational works based on Playbook articles
Reasonable quotations for commentary, reviews, or educational discussion are permitted where allowed by applicable copyright law, provided proper attribution is given.
GolfWizard actively protects its intellectual property rights.
13. Acceptable Use
You agree to use GolfWizard responsibly and in accordance with all applicable laws.
You agree not to:
- Use GolfWizard for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems
- Interfere with the operation or security of the Service
- Upload viruses or malicious software
- Use automated bots to scrape or harvest data
- Circumvent subscription limitations
- Share accounts in violation of your subscription
- Misrepresent your identity
- Use GolfWizard to harass, threaten, or intimidate others
- Use GolfWizard in any manner that disrupts other users
GolfWizard reserves the right to investigate suspected violations and to suspend or terminate accounts without prior notice when necessary to protect the Service or other users.
14. Third-Party Services
GolfWizard may integrate with third-party products and services that enhance the functionality of the platform.
These services may include:
- GHIN
- Payment processors
- Email delivery providers
- Cloud hosting providers
- Analytics services
- Mapping services
- Authentication providers
Use of third-party services is subject to the terms and privacy policies of those providers.
GolfWizard does not own or control third-party services and is not responsible for:
- Their availability
- Their security
- Their accuracy
- Their performance
- Changes to their services
If a third-party provider modifies or discontinues its services, certain GolfWizard features may become unavailable without liability to GolfWizard.
15. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us.
Our collection, use, storage, and disclosure of personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy.
By using GolfWizard, you acknowledge that you have reviewed our Privacy Policy and consent to the collection and use of your information as described therein.
If there is any conflict between these Terms and our Privacy Policy regarding the handling of personal information, the Privacy Policy shall control.
16. Service Availability
GolfWizard is designed to provide reliable service; however, no online platform can guarantee uninterrupted availability.
From time to time, GolfWizard may experience interruptions due to:
- Scheduled maintenance
- Software updates
- Security enhancements
- Internet outages
- Hardware failures
- Third-party service interruptions
- Force majeure events
GolfWizard reserves the right to temporarily suspend or restrict access to the Service for maintenance, upgrades, security, or operational reasons.
While we strive to minimize downtime, GolfWizard does not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
We are continually improving the Service and may add, modify, replace, or discontinue features at any time.
Such changes do not entitle users to refunds or compensation except where required by applicable law.
17. Disclaimer of Warranties
GolfWizard is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GolfWizard disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to:
- Merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy
- Reliability
- Availability
- Performance
GolfWizard does not warrant that:
- The Service will always be available.
- The Service will operate without interruption.
- The Service will be free of errors or defects.
- Data will never be lost or corrupted.
- Every tournament calculation will be free from user-entered errors.
- Third-party services, including GHIN, will always be available.
While we continually improve GolfWizard, no software platform can guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Users assume all responsibility for verifying tournament information before relying upon it.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GolfWizard, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or special damages arising from or relating to your use of the Service.
This limitation includes, but is not limited to:
- Lost profits
- Lost revenue
- Lost business opportunities
- Lost goodwill
- Lost tournament data
- Lost player information
- Tournament disputes
- Incorrect score calculations caused by user-entered information
- Incorrect payouts resulting from organizer settings
- Player disagreements
- Service interruptions
- Third-party outages
- Hardware failures
- Internet disruptions
GolfWizard is an administrative tool.
The organizer remains responsible for reviewing all competition settings, scores, handicaps, and payout calculations before finalizing tournament results.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GolfWizard's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of:
- One hundred U.S. dollars (US $100), or
- The total amount you paid to GolfWizard during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, these limitations shall apply only to the extent permitted by law.
19. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless GolfWizard, its officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising out of or relating to:
- Your use of the Service.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Content you upload.
- Golf events or tournaments you organize.
- Communications you send through GolfWizard.
- Your violation of any law or regulation.
- Your infringement of another person's rights.
This obligation survives termination of your account.
20. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using GolfWizard at any time.
You may cancel your account through your account settings or by contacting GolfWizard Support.
GolfWizard reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms.
- Attempt to compromise system security.
- Engage in fraudulent activity.
- Misuse the Service.
- Circumvent subscription limitations.
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of others.
- Interfere with the operation of GolfWizard or its users.
Where practical, we will attempt to provide notice before terminating an account.
However, GolfWizard may immediately suspend or terminate accounts when necessary to protect the security, integrity, or availability of the Service.
Termination does not relieve users of any outstanding payment obligations incurred prior to termination.
Sections concerning intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and dispute resolution shall survive termination.
21. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Subject to the Dispute Resolution section below, any legal action arising from these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located within North Carolina.
You consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
22. Dispute Resolution
We hope to resolve any concerns quickly and informally.
If you have a dispute with GolfWizard, you agree to first contact us and make a good-faith effort to resolve the matter before initiating legal proceedings.
If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be resolved according to the laws governing these Terms.
Optional Arbitration Provision
GolfWizard may elect to require certain disputes to be resolved through binding arbitration rather than litigation, where permitted by applicable law.
If you intend to include mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver, consult legal counsel to ensure the language complies with federal and state law.
23. Changes to These Terms
GolfWizard may update these Terms from time to time to reflect:
- New features
- Changes in applicable law
- Improvements to the Service
- Business practices
- Security requirements
When material changes are made, we will update the Effective Date appearing at the top of these Terms.
Your continued use of GolfWizard after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must discontinue use of the Service.

25. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional policies or legal notices published by GolfWizard, constitute the entire agreement between you and GolfWizard regarding your use of the Service.
They supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, understandings, communications, and representations relating to the Service.
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Any failure by GolfWizard to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or of any other rights available under these Terms.
26. Trademarks
GolfWizard®, The Golf Organizer's Playbook™, associated logos, product names, and service names are trademarks or trademarks pending of Golf Wizard, Inc.
GHIN, Handicap Index, USGA, World Handicap System™, and related marks are trademarks of the United States Golf Association and are used for identification purposes or under license where applicable.
Nothing contained within the Service grants users any ownership interest in GolfWizard's trademarks or the trademarks of any third party.
