Pair The Group Support
Plan B
Create a backup game in advance so last-minute changes do not derail the round.
What This Helps You Do
Create a backup version of your game before the round, so if players cancel, teams change, or the field shifts at the last minute, you can switch to a ready alternative instead of rebuilding everything from scratch.
When To Use It
Use this when the game depends on a specific number of players, teams, formats, or tee times and you want a prepared alternative before real life starts changing the field.
Basic Workflow
- Create the primary game the way you expect the round to run.
- Build a backup version for the most likely change, such as one fewer player, a different team count, or an adjusted format.
- Review the backup pairings, tee times, teams, scoring, and payouts before game day.
- Keep the backup unpublished until you know it is needed.
- If the field changes, switch to the prepared Plan B and share the updated details with the group.
Organizer Note
Plan B is not just a rescue tool. It is how a prepared organizer keeps the first tee calm when someone cancels, arrives late, or changes the team math.
